Golden Girl dies
A Golden treasure has died.
Rue McClanahan, 76, has a massive stroke this morning and died, according to People Magazine.
A veteran actress, McClanahan is best known for her roles as sexy granny Blanche Devereaux on “Golden Girls.”
Betty White is the last surviving Golden Girl from the 80s sitcom.
McClanahan also played Vivian Cavender Harmon on “Maude” with fellow Golden Girl Bea Arthur and Fran Crowley on “Mama’s Family.”

Rue played the part of Blanche with such finesse that I can’t think of her in any other role. Thank goodness we can still enjoy her on the ‘re runs’. May she rest in peace.
