When can you see the Grinch, Frosty, Santa and other favorites on TV?

The holiday season is upon us and with it, lots of holiday TV specials. Some are classics, some are new and some have the potential to become classics.

Here’s the lineup by day starting tonight. This list just covers the major networks and is not all-inclusive. As usual, check your local listings to confirm.

Monday, Nov. 29
9:30 p.m CMA Country Christmas (ABC): Jennifer Nettles, of Sugarland, hosts. Includes music, memories and stories of the season from some of country’s biggest stars.

Tuesday, Nov. 30
8 p.m. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer (CBS)
8 p.m. Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (ABC) [Quiz]
8 p.m. Christmas in Rockefeller Center (NBC): Al Roker and Natalie Morales host, includes guest stars Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow, Josh Groban, Annie Lennox, Susan Boyle and more.
8:30 p.m. Shrek the Halls (ABC)

Thursday, Dec. 2
8 p.m. Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town (ABC)

Saturday, Dec. 4
8 p.m. Merry Madagascar (NBC)
8:30 p.m. Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special (NBC)

Thursday, Dec. 9
8:30 p.m. Disney Prep & Landing (ABC)

Saturday, Dec. 11
8 p.m. It’s A Wonderful Life (NBC) [Quiz]
8 p.m. Frosty The Snowman (CBS)
8:30 p.m. Frosty Returns (CBS)
9 p.m. The Flight Before Christmas (CBS)

Friday, Dec. 17
8 p.m. Yes, Virginia (CBS)
8:30 p.m. Frosty The Snowman (CBS)

Friday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve)
8 p.m. It’s A Wonderful Life (NBC) [Quiz]

The Dec. 4 listings are not correct. “Chase” and “Law and Order” are on WDTN that night.
