Former T-M coach Larry Ham hopes to land Lakota West job
Once a coach …
Former Trotwood-Madison and Springfield South boys varsity basketball coach Larry Ham is among 21 applicants who have applied for the open Lakota West position.
Ham had two strong seasons at T-M, going 22-2 and 20-5, and winning GWOC North Division titles and advancing to the D-I regional each season. But he fell out of favor with the administration and his contract was not renewed following the 2007-08 season.
Ham went to Trotwood after a long and successful coaching career at South.
Scott Mueller was West’s interim coach this past season, going 12-9 overall and 8-6 in the Greater Miami Conference.
West AD Gerry Weisgerber said a half-dozen candidates will be granted interviews beginning Tuesday, April 21, including Mueller.
