Notable: Rams have won four straight GWOC North titles; obviously have a proven lineup, but must find a suitable replacement at QB for Simpson; schedule is favorable; Thurgood Marshall (10-2) was dropped in the opener for University (Fla.) in the Crosstown Showdown at Kings on Sunday, Aug. 26; University was 12-1 last season; the game will be shown on ESPN; also gone from the 2011 schedule are Beavercreek, Springfield and Xenia, replaced by Fairmont, West Carrollton and Greenville; a Week 3 matchup at Wayne should be another key contest as will Week 6 at Piqua. Not counting University, the Ram’s other nine opponents were a combined 42-49 last season.
