Burrito chain opens in Beavercreek, promises more restaurants to come
The locally owned and Kettering-based Hot Head Burritos chain has opened a new restaurant at 3195 Dayton-Xenia Road, Suite 850 in Beavercreek, and more burrito locations are on the way in the Dayton area, elsewhere in Ohio and in surrounding states, according to Hot Head co-founder Ray Wiley.
The Beavercreek location opened on Wednesday, Jan. 26, in the Beavercreek Plaza near North Fairfield Road. It seats 60 diners and employs 22 people, Wiley said.
This is the 12th Hot Head Burritos open or under development in the greater Miami Valley and the 15th overall, Wiley said. About six more Hot Head restaurants will open this spring and summer: one in the Vandalia area, and five in the Cincinnati-northern Kentucky market, he said.
The Hot Head co-owner said he has reached agreements with area developers to explore sites elsewhere in Ohio — including the Cleveland, Toledo and Youngstown areas — and in Kentucky and Pennsylvania. “By the end of the year, our goal is to have 50 open or under development,” Wiley said.
“We have a lot of people who like the product, and who like the concept,” Wiley said. “The economy is treating us just fine.”
