Visiting German winemaker among the highlights of this mid-week tastings list
Our intrepid Dayton-based wine listserv has compiled a special mid-week tastings list that is simply electric, as you’re about to see. My apologies for not getting it posted Wednesday, as some of these events already have occurred (a technical glitch combined with human error on my part). Check out the upcoming event at Arrow Centerville featuring Dr. Dirk Richter of Max Ferd. Richter, a very fine German winery. Kinkead Ridge Winery is hosting their annual vineyard tour on September 3 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 2009 River Village Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon (blended with Petit Verdot and Syrah) 2009 River Village Cellars Cabernet Franc 2010 White Revelation 2010 Viognier/Roussanne 2010 Riesling and 2010 Traminette.
Winery: 904 Hamburg Street three blocks behind the McDonalds, east of downtown Ripley, (937) 392-6077. Vineyard: 4288 Kinkead Road, about three miles from the winery.
