Winery crawl: Eight wineries join for Ohio River Valley Wineries’ Annual Barrel Tasting this Saturday
Eight wineries in the Ohio River Valley — seven in southern Ohio, one in Northern Kentucky — have joined for an Annual Barrel Tasting, to be held this Saturday November 26.
Those who travel to the wineries can meet the winemakers and sample future vintages. The Ohio wineries that are participating include Kinkead Ridge, Harmony Hill, Meranda-Nixon, Henke, Woodstone Creek, Burnet Ridge and Hanover, according to Nancy Bentley, co-owner of Kinkead Ridge. Kentucky winery Baker Bird, accessible via a ferry ride across the Ohio River to Augusta Kentucky 10 miles west of Ripley for $5 per car, is also participating in the winery crawl of sorts.
